Akshardham Temple Delhi Day Tour

A prominent Hindu temple complex in Delhi, Akshardham or Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple is one of the most popular places to visit in Delhi. The temple complex displays millennia of traditional Hindu and Indian culture, spirituality, and architecture. Its huge structure architecture was inspired and developed by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the spiritual head of the Bachasanwasi Sri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha. The main edifice at the center of the complex is 141 feet high, 316 feet wide, and 356 feet long and is covered from top to bottom with carved details of deities, musicians, dancers, flora, and fauna.

Exhibition at Akshardham Temple –

Along with the impressive style of architecture, Akshardham Temple attracts visitors to be amazed by its range of exhibitions which are organized in three huge halls, each presenting it differently. The three exhibition halls inside the temple are Sahajanand Darshan, Neelkanth Darshan, and Sanskruti Darshan. In Sahajanand Darshan, the hall presents various kinds of exhibits on different topics like non-violence, family harmony, and morality. In Neelkanth Darshan, there is a large- film based on the life of Neelkanth Varni which is displayed on a huge screen. Sanskruti Darshan is the most popular of all the exhibitions at Akshardham Temple wherein a cultural boat ride for 12 minutes will give you glimpses of ancient Indian lifestyle and achievements.

The timings of the exhibition show are from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Akshardham Musical Fountain –

Every day, a Musical Fountain and water show is held inside the premises of Akshardham Temple which is one of the must-do things in Delhi as well. Undeniably, it is the most popular music fountain in Delhi. This takes place at Yagnapurush Kund, Sahaj Anand Water Show reflects the ultimate blend of technology with creativity. The light and sound show presents a story from ancient Hindu Scriptures Kena Upanishad. There’s a multitude of technologies used in the show which entices the visitors. Things like varied colors of lasers, water jets, underwater flames, surround sound, and video projections, all are synchronized aptly creating an enthralling view.

The timing of Musical Fountain usually starts after sunset. Currently, the show time is 7:30 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. Although the timings of this show can vary sometimes.
