It is also the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, one of the most powerful kings of the Mewar dynasty.

· Badal Mahal is a part of the Kumbhalgarh Fort and is a 2 storied royal palace known for its vibrant murals and breathtaking views.
· Neelkanth Mahadeo Temple is a famous Shiva Temple, dated back to 1458, having an open mandapa, a sanctum, pillars, with inscriptions, and six feet tall Shiva Linga.
· Vedi Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Vedi located close to the Hanuman Gate of the fort and was built by Rana Kumbha.
